I love attending blogging conferences. Not only do they allow me to learn and grow my business (yes, blogging is both for pleasure and for business) but it also allows me to connect with other bloggers (which is one of my favorite things to do). While conferences are great, they also involve leaving my family which is difficult. That’s why I love the Disney Social Media Moms Conference, not only is it hosted at one of the most magical paces on earth (this year it was at Disneyland) but they make it a family affair.

My family and I traveled across the country to California to attend the Disney Social Media Moms Conference. We were able to stay at the Disneyland Resort and bounced between Disneyland and California Adventure park (individual posts about those in the future).
In addition to visiting both parks (every day), I was able to learn from and be inspired by various speakers some of which were Tom Staggs (Walt Disney World’s chairman), Maxine Clark (Build-A-Bear Workshop Founder) and Donald Driver (a former football player for the Green Bay Packers) during the conference portion.

The Disney Social Media Moms Conference also allows you to enjoy special events and activities as a family. By special, I mean “Magical”…
For dinner on the first night, we ate at Big Thunder Ranch at Disneyland for a special, health focused Disney TryIt! dinner. The food was yummy! While we were there, we had some special guests join us which made for great photo opportunities.

For one of our dinners, they closed down Mickey’s Toontown at Disneyland Park and opened it up to us and our families. Not only was there a delicious spread of food but they left the rides open for us and they even had goodies like popcorn and Icees for us.

They even brought out various characters so that we could take pictures with them

Oh, and there was a DJ that we enjoyed.
On Sunday Morning, we ate breakfast at Cars Land, which was closed off just for us, so we were able to enjoy the rides over and over again and meet some of the Cars characters

I am so honored that I was invited to attend the Disney Social Media Moms Conference and am thankful that I was able to share it with my family.

Disclosure: I was invited to the Disney Social Media Moms Conference, there are no obligations that I attend or write about my experience. No compensation or sponsorship was received. ALL opinions are 100% my own.
