After spending an evening at the Residence Inn by Marriott Miami Airport and taking a tour of their facility this past weekend, I now know that this chain of hotels is appropriately named. It’s like a home away from home!
For those of us who enjoy traveling with our families or for those looking to stay at a hotel for an extended period of time, the Residence Inn by Marriott is a great option. Not only do they offer you lower rates the longer you stay there, but you also have the option of larger than traditional hotel rooms, including studio, one- and two-bedroom suites (so space is not an issue).
Fully equipped in-suite kitchens (cooking utensils, flatware and china, as well as a full-size refrigerator, coffeemaker, microwave, dishwasher and cooktop) make it easy for you to prepare meals but there are also restaurants on the premises that you can dine at as well.
While there, I stayed in a studio suite that came with a kitchenette, table, desk, a king size bed and a queen size sofa bed.
My suite also came with an air purifier which is great for people with allergies (like me). The mattress and the pillows were also encased to keep allergens away.
As I was eating a Pan con Bistec at the table (I couldn’t resist, I was in Miami), I noticed that they have a “Fill My Fridge” service where you can leave them a list of any grocery items you need and they will do the shopping for you. There is NO extra charge for this service, they just bill your room for the items you purchased.
There is also The Market, a 24/7 self-serve food and beverage pantry you can buy necessities from near the front desk.
FREE wi-fi, dry cleaning/ on-site laundry and their signature daily FREE hot breakfast are also available to you.
For this particular location, not only is the airport nearby (but I didn’t hear a plane once), they also have a Starbucks on the campus. So you can walk right over there and get your fix.
I only wish I had stayed at the Residence Inn by Marriott Miami Airport longer and that I had my family with me. Maybe next time…
Disclosure: I was invited as guest of the Residence Inn by Marriott Miami Airport for one evening. ALL opinions are my own.
