Sandals Are a Must, whether on your feet or in your car…

A few months ago I happen to have an hour of free time until I had to pick up the kids. “Me” time is so rare that I immediately thought about getting a manicure and pedicure (wouldn’t have you?), so off I went. Being that it was unexpected, I wasn’t wearing sandals (which as you know is imperative for not destroying the paint on your toe nails) so I was given the bright orange paper ones they provide. Normally it wouldn’t have been an issue but because I had to pick up my kids from school and the fact that I get down out of the car to so so, I was forced to walk the big parking lot and sidewalk to go pick up my daughter surrounded by other parents wearing those fashionable sandals.

After that adventure, I told myself that I needed to be prepared…so I bought myself a pair of Sandals from the Dollar Tree (big spender over here!) and threw them in the trunk of my truck just in case. Today I was so glad that I did because after I got out of the truck to pick my son up from his daycare/school my sandal broke.

Has this ever happened to you? If so, you know how difficult it is to walk in a broken sandal, all you can really do is slide your foot on the sandal to get to your destination. Thankfully only my daughter and I were in the parking lot and that I had the sandals in the trunk. I guess my minor embarrassment a few months ago proved to be beneficial.

Sorry for all the pics of my feet…Luckily I got a pedicure today otherwise this would have been awkward…LOL
