Eating Lechon is something my family does a lot of. Whether it’s for Christmas Eve, New Years Eve, a birthday and even for Thanksgiving (right next to the Turkey) we just can’t seem to get enough of it. Not to brag or anything but I have gotten compliments on how tasty my Lechon is and although it is easy to make, I don’t want to have to cook all the time. That being said, it is a treat when I can go out to eat at a restaurant, order the Lechon and know that it will be yummy. It had been a while since I had lechon so my family and I headed on over to Padrino’s Cuban Cuisine this last Friday to take advantage of their Pig Roast buffet for only $20 (for adults).
Disclosure: My family and I were invited to Padrino’s Cuban Cuisine to try out their delicious roast pig buffet in order to share it with you. My love for Lechon started when I first started eating solid food, so ALL opinions are my own.
For $20 you get all you can eat pork along with some other yummy goodies, a drink and a dessert.
While they give you warm Cuban bread at the table, I wouldn’t fill up on it because then you’ll fill up and there is too much deliciousness waiting for you on the buffet table. Once you’re ready to dig in, head on over to the buffet table where you’ll find an actual roasted pig but instead of a traditional apple in its mouth you’ll find a plantain.
You will also find white rice, black beans, moro (white rice and black beans already mixed together) salad, yuca and sweet plantains (maduros).

My kids chose to eat off the kids menu instead of eating the Pig Roast Buffet (their loss). My daughter got a Palomilla steak with white rice, black beans and french fries and my son got their chicken fingers and french fries. None of us left Padrino’s Cuban Cuisine hungry, I probably should have worn my stretchy pants there.
While my hubby and I each did two rounds at the buffet table (maybe I did three) we still ordered dessert, after all it came with a buffet. My husband got a tres leches and I got a flan and they were both delicious.
Padrino’s Cuban Cuisine offers the Pig Roast Buffet the second Friday of every month and if you’re in South Florida you should be checking out it out.
