Have you started buying school supplies and clothing for your children’s upcoming school year? If so, you are a rock star! But if you haven’t you’re not alone (and you’re still a rock star!) because I haven’t either and I am feeling a little bad about it. It’s like I am in denial of how quickly my kiddos are growing up and how quickly time flies!

I can’t believe that our summer is almost over and my kids will be starting school in about three weeks! I am absolutely not prepared for the upcoming school year…not emotionally, not when it comes to having their school supplies and uniforms…Nothing! I am a hot mess.

Normally I am much better about it so I am not sure what happened this time around. The summer has gone by so fast! I am usually all into stocking up over the summer when there is a good deal but this time around I really have just been focused on fun things to do with the kids that will allow us to spend quality time together (and keep them busy).

Whatever the reasons as to why I am a so behind and unprepared for the upcoming school year (there could be a ton of reasons if I really gave it some thought), I need to get on the ball. I guess I should start by finding the school supply list they sent home at the end of the last school year (or better yet, ask a fellow mom for a copy of their list to save me the trouble of having to search through my unorganized office) and start searching for good school supply deals. If not, I may just get stuck paying full price for something and if that happens there will be crying on my part (I HATE having to pay full price for anything).

So, if you are like me there is still hope and we can get all of our school shopping done in time for the upcoming school year (and hopefully save money in the process).

Now to find that school supply list…
