My daughter has always wanted to go with her dad to work on Take Your Child To Work Day, but he couldn’t take her with him because his job wasn’t kid friendly. This year, she asked him again, because he started a new job, but he told her he wasn’t able to (you’ll find out why soon). That’s when Mommy came to the rescue and told her I would take her to work with me (despite not being her first choice).
I originally planned on having my 7 and 5 year old help me by taking pictures and typing up posts (basically have them help me get caught up…I kid, I kid!) but one of the perks of blogging is being invited to fun adventures and a really cool one happen to be on the same day (so they were spared all that physical labor).
This year for Take Your Child To Work Day, I took my kids on a Carnival Cruise to the Bahamas with me (and my hubby…which is why he had told her “no”). I know, I know…I have a cool job! The Carnival Sunshine was having their inaugural cruise out of Port Canaveral and we were invited to attend. You can read about our experience here.

Maybe next year, they will get to experience all of the other important details that go into being a professional blogger.
