After searching all over the house as I cleaned (which I am not a fan of doing), cleaning out my purse (like 3 times) and going through smelly and maggot filled trash (with latex gloves on of course), I still can’t find my wedding ring. I guess that makes it official…My wedding Ring is lost!!!!! (insert dramatic music here…something that involves drums or bongos please for a more dramatic effect).
*I was last seen wearing it the day before (playing Laser Tag at Off The Wall) and the next day I went to a birthday party and then realized it was missing.
I really am baffled because I don’t know where I could have lost it. I remember putting it in my purse where I always put it when my wedding ring comes off (so that I can remember to put it on when I go out).
I’ve been asked why I had my wedding ring off. Apparently people bathe with it on, sleep with it on…basically never take it off but I can’t do that. Not I! Once I am home I have to take it off (my husband is the same way). Plus, lately my fingers have been swelling in the heat and that combined with my slight weight gain makes it so that my wedding ring gets stuck on my finger (which is no fun!).
Want to know what the worst part is? This was my replacement wedding ring. Yes, I said “replacement” which means that this is the second time I have lost my wedding ring. BUT In my defense, I think my then 2 year old daughter was responsible for losing that one. Even if she wasn’t, that’s my story and I’m sticking to it. Thankfully, my husband wasn’t upset and he bought me another wedding ring (with a bigger diamond but for less money, go figure!) but this time I don’t see me getting another one. Not because he is mad, simply because we do not have the money to do so.
Prior to my losing my ring we were talking about getting wedding ring finger tattoos because his wedding ring has a crack now. I’m a chicken when it comes to self inflicted pain (or any pain for that matter) so we’ll see what happens. I’ll keep you posted.

My husband can’t wear a wedding ring cause he does contruction work that involves using concrete etc. Plus, he has got it stuck on something before and broke it in half so I felt like he needed something there so I decided for our anniversary we would get each others initial on our fingers instead of a tattoo band cause I was really worried about the pain to. Just one intial didn’t hurt much and I can’t take pain. I’m not sure how a full band would feel but I think you will do just fine. Good luck! 🙂

I’m so sorry to hear about your ring. What a bummer! I don’t wear my wedding ring to bed or in the shower. I don’t wear it in the end of pregnancy due to swelling and I don’t wear it when I have a newborn, due to the chances of scratching the baby. I totally get not wearing it all the time. Sure hope your ring turns up!
