While in LA for the While in LA for the Pete’s Dragon premiere, we were able to have watch some of The Jungle Book’s bonus footage (more on that soon) and chat with The Jungle Book’s Producer Brigham Taylor and Visual Effect Supervisor Rob Legato.
Here are some of the fun facts I learned about The Jungle Book during our interview:
- It was very short to actually produce the film from the moment they started shooting until the moment they released it…about 2-1/2 years of full-on production.
- Close to 2000 people worked on the film.
- They used puppets while film making to generate a more natural response from Neel, especially since it was his first time doing a film. The puppets also brought a human element performance onstage when they needed it.
- The scene where Mowgli says goodbye to the mother was the most challenging because of the interactivity and also because of the level of performance. It was also one of the most demanding technical scenes.
Bring home The Jungle Book on Blu-ray and DVD on August 30th!!! *But it is already available on Digital HD
