I am a firm believer that your ability to do things is not defined by your gender, race, etc., so I think it’s pretty cool that my 14 year old cousin, Katie, loves skate boarding and playing basket ball. When the opportunity presented itself to do a review for a Shaun White Supply Co. Thrash Series Skateboard, I naturally thought of her. Not only would she know how to ride it, but it would also make her happy. Plus, there was no way I was going to do it…although it would make for some great video.
Thankfully Katie was up for the task but she was a bit rusty since she hadn’t used one in a while. She requested some practice time since she knew I would be filming it and although she did pretty good, she did take a tumble while I was filming (No, she was not hurt and Yes, she gave me permission to post it that way). She really enjoyed the Shaun White Supply Co. Thrash Series Skateboard (she kept smiling), she said it was a smooth ride.
For those that understand skateboarding lingo, the Shaun White Supply Co. Thrash Series Skateboard is constructed of maple and stiff glue for top performance and features urethane wheels, heavy-duty trucks and ABEC 7 speed bearings. That is like a foreign language to me but being that this is from the Shaun White Supply Co. Collection, I assume it is good!
