Recording studio? Me? Yep! I had the chance to step into the recording booth at the Disney Animation Building to voice Baymax in a scene from Big Hero 6.
After having seen the movie twice, I was well aware of the scene I would be voicing BUT how the heck would I do an appropriate robot voice?
I knew it wouldn’t be as good as Scott Adsit, who actually did the voice of Baymax (picture taken at the Big Hero 6 Premiere After Party)
Thank goodness for technology because it did that part for me. All I had to do was know when to say my lines (after the 3rd beep), read them and pace myself since I normally speak very fast.
It was fun to do and my kids have gotten a kick out of watching the video (over and over again).
That was a great day! Not only did I get to do a voiceover, I also got to interview Big Hero 6 actresses Jamie Chung & Genesis Rodriguez and the directors Don Hall and Chris Williams
BIG HERO 6 is now playing in theaters everywhere! Click here for my thoughts on the movie.
* Disney flew me out to LA to attend the Big Hero 6 premiere and interview the cast of the animated film. All opinions are my own.
