As a mother of a daughter, I feel that she can do anything she puts her mind too with a good education…every girl deserves that same opportunity. Unfortunately, there are children around the world, especially little girls, who aren’t given that chance. Based on the stats listed on Educationenvoy.org, there are 34 Million adolescent girls not in school and 61 Million children, both boys and girls, who are shut out of primary school.
Education is very important to me and I see the value of it within society, so much so that I studied to become a teacher. Yet, if I am honest with myself (which can sometimes be scary) it was something that I took for granted…maybe even still do. Education is a privilege that should not be taken for granted and one that everyone should be able to have access to.
At this point, you may be wondering what we can do to help (if not, you probably are now or you are going to find out anyways)…consider signing a petition that will be given to the president of Pakistan requesting that every child should be able to go to school.
