My daughter’s room appears to be a magnet for those clear/white lizards. While I don’t mind them being around the house because they don’t bother anyone and they eat insects, I can see why my 6 year old wouldn’t want it crawling around above her bed as she sleeps. My husband wasn’t there to “handle it”, so it was up to me to come to my daughter’s aid (little did she know that she would be better off without me doing anything or rather I would have been better off).

I wasn’t planning on catching the lizard…that just wasn’t going to happen, no way no how…so I figured I would scare it towards the direction of the bedroom door and make it leave her room since it wasn’t too far away from her door. She gave me the idea to use her umbrella (she is very wise for her age), so I used it to hit the roof behind the lizard and it started to head towards the door like we had planned BUT I hit the roof in the wrong area and it started to head back towards her bed.

In an effort to stop that from happening, I hit the roof again but this time I did something wrong and the next thing I know the lizard is falling down straight towards me.

I moved my head just in time otherwise it would have landed on my face (this is while I was screaming, which probably wasn’t wise because it could have ended up in my mouth) but I still felt it hit my shoulder and continue to fall. I had No idea where it went. I looked around everywhere and could not find it anywhere, which was not cool! I kept checking to make sure it wasn’t in my hair or in my clothes. Still to this day we have not seen that lizard!
