Remember when I said I fell off the Disney Fun Run Training Wagon, well I’ve got to tell you that I never really got back on it. With all my traveling, I never began jogging again (I know, excuses, excuses) BUT…I am happy to share that while I was in California I did participate in the Disney Fun Run.
I started my run in Disneyland and then I ran across the Finish Line .
Oh, did I mention that I did it in a tutu and a tiara (go ahead and laugh)
While I did run across the finish line, I’ve gotta keep it real…Sadly I walked for most of it. But who cares! I did it! Thankfully, I wasn’t by myself or I might not be saying that. I’m just happy I didn’t have to be dragged across the finish line.
As I was walking (doing the occasional jog), I was trying to take in all of the beauty around me (see, if I was running I wouldn’t have been able to do that).
I couldn’t believe it. There I was in the middle of Disneyland following the path right through Aurora’s Castle doing what I had set out to do.
The parks were essentially empty and I was just trying to absorb it all in (in between gasping for air the times I did run).
I’ve got to say that the pier at California Adventure Park was beautiful to look at as the sun was rising.
While I walked most of it, I did cross the finish line running and that may or may not have something to do with all the other bloggers being at the finish line rooting for us or all the cameras pointed at us). I had done it!
I didn’t do the Disney Fun Run the way I had intended to (running all of it) but I am still happy that I finished what I set out to do. I can now say I did a Disney Fun Run AND that I did it at Disneyland and California Adventure Park.
