Ever have a craving for something or buy a certain food item for dessert that you think about all day long? The kind of yummy goodness that you take the time to plan out the perfect time to eat it at and what will accompany it, a certain drink (after all certain food items go best with a specific drink). Well for me, that “yummy goodness” was a chocolate chip cookie from Panera Bread that I had gotten at an event the day before.
This chocolate chip cookie was delicious (it had huge chocolate chip chunks) and wasn’t your average size cookie. It was big! So big, that I didn’t finish it the day I got it (I only ate half of it – this is an important detail for later). I wasn’t going to let that half go to waste, so I put the other half in a sandwich bag to keep it nice and soft and put it on the counter for the next day.
The next day was upon us and every time I walked into the kitchen I would see that chocolate chip cookie and I had to fight the urge to eat it right then and there. After all, I had a plan…I wanted to enjoy that chocolate chip cookie when I was relaxed so that I could savor every single piece of it (except the edges because I don’t like the edges – this is another important detail for later). So I’d have to wait until after dinner, once the kids were in bed (so they wouldn’t ask me for a piece) and I’d eat it with a cup of cold milk.
The day went on. Dinner was done. The kids were off to bed. So, I headed on in to the kitchen where I discovered that my beautiful chocolate chip cookie had been tampered with! All that remained of my cookie was most of the edges. All of the center had been eaten, all of those big chocolate chip pieces were gone!

I immediately looked over at the culprit, who you would probably assume was the kids but it wasn’t, it as my husband.

Yes, my husband. The same guy who is supposed to be on a diet. The same guy who always eats the edges of my cookies (told you that detail was important – because he knew better). After I question him about it, he has the nerve to tell me he only had a bite (but there was half a cookie there), as if that makes it better.
I was NOT a happy camper!!!! I was very sad because I didn’t get to savor that yummy chocolate chip cookie and I had been looking forward to it all day long. My hubby is still not out of the dog house.
Has someone in your house eaten something you had been looking forward to? What was it? What did you do?

Lol, too funny. I remember when I got back from Army basic training, the first thing I wanted to eat was some Los Corrals mexican food. So me and my mom went, and I ordered too much food so I had to get a to-go box. I couldn’t wait until the next day to eat my leftovers, I think I dreamed about it, lol. Anyway I woke up early the next morning and noticed my box wasn’t in the fridge. My brother had eaten it overnight when I was sleep. I was heated, lol.
I’m glad you understand me…LOL
