It has been said that one persons trash is another persons treasure.  I got a little “taste” of this yesterday, you’ll understand why as you read on…

I made a pasta salad for the Teacher’s Appreciation Luncheon at my daughter’s school (because Teachers rock!), and of course me being the procrastinator that I am, I waited until the day of the luncheon to make it, only to have it hardly eaten by anyone…except me.  I’d like to think that it was because there was way too much food there (or at least I hope so) and in their defense there was ALOT of other delicious food there. However, all I know is that the other salads were almost empty and mine was not…LOL.  What made it worse was that once it was prepared, I decided to cook an extra box of noodles because I thought there wasn’t enough food (yet if I hadn’t done that, there wouldn’t have been enough…LOL).

So I took my big bowl of pasta salad back with me with my head held up high (not too high because I didn’t have my sunglasses on) and headed over to my dad’s real estate office to make copies for my Coupon Class (Thanks Dad!) where they ate it! I must add that an agent even complimented me on it and another one had 2 servings and we’ll assume for the sake of my ego that it was because it was good and not out of hunger.

So there you go, what would have been “trash” became another person’s “treasure”! (well treasure may be extreme but it filled their bellies and they enjoyed it or at least they gave me that impression)

I guess I won’t be making pasta salad next year…hahaha!
