My family and I were invited to the Disney Social Media Moms Conference in Orlando over Mother’s Day weekend and being that we live in South Florida we planned on driving there. Orlando is only about three and a half hours away from us and although it is not super long of a drive for us, we wanted it to be a comfortable one since we were traveling with children. Thankfully the nice people over at Ford provided us with a 2013 Ford Explorer to drive for our trip.
The day before we were scheduled to leave they dropped off a shiny red 2013 Ford Explorer that had two toned leather trimmed seats (brown and black), a leather wrapped steering wheel with cruise control and audio control, a navigation system and dual AC Control (which is perfect since my hubby and I can never agree on the temperature).
In addition to looking stylish the 2013 Ford Explorer was extremely comfortable. It helped that the driver and passenger seats can be cooled or heated too, of course I took advantage of that feature. This model did have 3rd row seating but since it was just the four of us and I tend to over pack we put the third row down and took advantage of the bigger trunk space. All that it needed inside was a DVD player to keep my kids entertained but we already have that covered anyway so it was all good.
My favorite features on the remote control keychain was being able to start the car and open the trunk. It’s the simple things I tell ya.
If gas consumption is an issue for you as it is for me with as much driving as I do then you will be happy to know that the 2013 Ford Explorer was not a gas guzzler. We made it all the way to Orlando on a full tank with gas to spare.
Driving the Ford Explorer took me back to when I was 21 years old (not too long ago…is 12 years ago a long time? LOL) and bought a 1999 2 door Ford Explorer that I absolutely loved. It was red too. Memories…
My family and I really enjoyed driving around in the 2013 Ford Explorer!

Disclosure: I was provided with a 2013 Ford Explorer for my trip to the Disney Social Media Moms Conference in order to facilitate my review and share my honest opinions with you (which I have done)
