During the holidays, I often entertain or attend parties. This means that I am usually trying to prepare a holiday dish to serve or take with me. While I usually stick to what I know, it’s nice to spice things up and try something new every once and a while.
When finding a new recipe, I need to factor in that I don’t have the time to spend all day cooking something up or preparing it, so I need an easy recipe. That’s why I was looking forward to trying the Mexican Hot Chocolate Chex Party Mix Recipe because it only takes 15 minutes to prepare!

Yummy looking recipe. We used to do something similar and then coat in powdered sugar. I like the addition of the cinnamon. I am thinking it would be really good with a little spice too. maybe a little cayenne. Make it very Mexican 🙂
I was just thinking this same thing Kelly! A little spice sounds really good. Maybe some of the fruit spice mix that you can buy would be good in this (I can’t remember the name of it, but it’s got cayenne in it). Yummy!
I love this easy to prepare recipe ? I think I would add some coca with the condensed milk to make it even more chocolate tasting.
Mexican Hot Chocolate is BOTH our favorite cold weather treat AND our favorite chocolate treat! We have lots of Mexican chocolate and Mexican cocoa in the house ~ any ideas for adapting the recipe to use some of that?
If this recipe is anywhere close to being as good as the hot chocolate it will be an enormous hit around and I will definitely be making it for holiday parties and get-togethers!
