As I sat behind the wheel of the 2018 Kia Sorento, I still could not believe that my family and I were finally in Reno and driving to Lake Tahoe. We had been counting down the weeks and then the days since we had been invited by Kia and it was finally time to embark on some really cool Kia Sorento Winter adventures! It was going to be epic!

Taking the scenic route to the hotel, one of the first things we did was open up the sunroof, we wanted to see it all and from all directions. Given that it had been snowing and that there was snow about 10 inches high on each side, this South Floridian was oddly at peace with driving in those weather conditions because of the Kia Sorento. I knew we were traveling in a vehicle that could handle it and keep my family safe. Some of its safety features include Autonomous Emergency Braking, Lane Departure Warning System, Blind Spot Detection, and Rear Cross Traffic Alert.

Given how cold it was, the seat warmers came in handy!!!

Stopping along the way to enjoy the views of Lake Tahoe covered in snow, we finally made it to our home away from home for the week, The Ritz Carlton. What a beautiful hotel!

Throughout the week, Kia Sorento Winter adventures included:

Lake Tahoe was the perfect setting to drive the Kia Sorento and I can’t wait to share more of the adventures I listed above in more detail.

Note: My family and I were invited to attend the #SorentoFamily Event sour lodging, airfare, and food were covered by Kia. However, all opinions are my own.
