Don’t worry, while it looks like there are a lot of instructions, there really aren’t. I just separated it into each part to make it easy to read and follow.
Southwest Dip Ingredients
- 1 C. Chopped tomatoes
- 1 medium onion chopped
- 1 C. shredded taco cheese
- 1 C. Sour Cream
- 4 oz. Cream Cheese
- 1 T. Taco Seasoning
- 1 Tsp. Cayenne Pepper (optional)
* You can eliminate or use less of cayenne pepper if spicy is not your thing.
Southwest Dip Directions
- Combine all of the ingredients
Tortilla Seasoning Ingredients
- 1 Tsp. garlic powder
- 1 Tsp. taco seasoning
- 1 Tsp. ranch seasoning
- 1/4 Tsp. Salt
- 1/4 Tsp. Cayenne Pepper (optional)
Tortilla Chips Seasoning Directions
- Combine all of the ingredients
Tortilla Chips Ingredients
- Any flour tortillas cut into triangles
Tortilla Chips Directions
- 1-2 inches of oil over medium heat.
**When you drop one droplet of water into the oil and it ‘dances’ it is ready to start cooking the tortillas**
- Fry each triangle for 2 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
- Remove from pan and sprinkle the Tortilla Chips Seasoning immediately onto both sides.
- Place on napkin to soak up the oil.
Place everything (Dip and Tortilla Chips) on a platter and your Spicy Southwest Appetizer Recipe is complete.
