Mickey Mouse came to life in 1928 and no matter how old he gets, or rather how old we get, our love for Mickey Mouse hasn’t changed. It’s a fascination that transcends generations, age, race and gender. Without a doubt, showing off your Disney Side is something people of all ages can do…we did just that at my Multi-Generational Mickey Mouse Party!
We had a blast wearing our Disney Attire, playing Disney games, eating food and of course taking photos!
If you are looking to host a Mickey Mouse Party consider trying out some of these ideas.
Decorations
I focused on the 3 main colors: Black, Yellow & Red and it worked out well because I found a lot of Mickey Mouse decorations at the Dollar Tree.
I even decorated the bathroom
Food
We served finger foods. What we tried to do is come up with clever names (or at least what we thought was clever) for various Mickey Mouse & Friends.
Daisy’s Deviled Eggs, Chip & Dale’s Chips & Dip, Hot Diggity Dogs, Pete’s Pinwheel Spirals, Donald’s Cheese & Quackers, Pluto’s Petite Quiches, Mickey’s Mini Tacos, Minnie’s Meatballs & Plu-ta-to Chips.
and for dessert…Mickey Mouse Oreo Pops, a Candy Bar & A Mickey Mouse Cake
Photo Booth
We used contact paper for the background and then printed out Mickey Mouse and friends cut outs, some of which I purchased on etsy.
Some of my favorite pics include the Black Frame (that was supposed to have 2 small black plates glued to it to make it look like Mickey Mouse ears BUT I completely forgot to do it).
But my all time favorite photo booth picture is the one of my family showing off our #DisneySide
Games
Mickey Mouse Trivia
We put Mickey Mouse and Friends Questions and put them on index cards with an assigned point value.
We separated the guest into 3 teams and allowed them to create their own team names.
- Team 1: Mickey’s Mouseketeers
- Team 2: Oh Toodles!
- Team 3: Gaston’s Beauties
The Trivia host would then ask a question and the team would try and get the Mickey Mouse Plush Doll seated in the middle of the floor to be able to answer for points.
If they answered correctly, they would gain those points and if they answered incorrectly they would lose points. Apparently my family is extremely competitive! Take a look at the video below so you can see for yourself…
But Team 1 (The Mickey Mouseketeers) were the winners!

Create a Character
I gave each team a bag filled with random items to create a character they randomly selected. Each bag contained the same exact items: different color construction paper, small pom poms and tissue paper, black napkins, red string, tape and scissors (but you can really add whatever you’d like). I then gave them 10 minutes to make their creations.
Can you guess the characters? Which one is your favorite?
Goodies
If you’d like your guests to go home with some goodies, I suggest you check out the Dollar Tree and the Dollar bins at Target for Mickey Mouse and Friends items at a great price. I found various puzzles, coloring books, crayons, planners and stickers.
If you are making a trip to Disney World or Disneyland before your party, you should stop by guest services and ask for pins and stickers. They were happy to give us some and we put them to good use.
What I find most interesting is that the adults are the first ones showing off their Disney Side. One friend in particular, Natalie from NatMeetsWorld.com LOVES Disney which is why I asked her to help me out with the party. I really couldn’t have done it without her. THANK YOU NATALIE!!!!!!
Note: I received a special Disney Package to help us show off our #DisneySide. Thankfully I was able to use most of what they sent me. However, ALL opinions, photos and smiles in these pictures are my own.

The party looks great!!! I love that you decorated the bathroom too, what’s fun surprise for your guests!
Thanks so much Leanette! I loved helping out, and I loved how much fun we had! XOXO
