We’re the kind of family that likes to try new things and enjoy new adventures, so whether it is during the week or on a weekend, our family most likely has something to do. We’re totally OK with it BUT if I don’t keep a handle on things, I could easily lose my mind (and drive my family crazy in the process). That being said, the key to not going crazy (all the time) is to try to incorporate some of these 4 helpful tips for families on the go.

Write it all down
I have to write everything down on a calendar. If I don’t, there would be chaos. I also color coordinate by person. Thankfully the Gmail calendar allows me to do this. Another benefit of using the Gmail calendar is that my husband has it synched to his phone which means that he doesn’t ask me about what we have planned. well not as much as he used to anyways.
Keep the schedule flexible
Be sure to schedule in some down time and know when to say “no” to an invite or event. I have a hard time with that one but learning to do so is better for your family and your sanity.
Make sure the kiddos get enough sleep the night before
If the kiddos have enough sleep they are less likely to be cranky. Plus, you don’t want them to fall asleep when they could be enjoying something.
Be prepared
That means set out everyone’s clothes the night before. Making sure the bag has everything you need in it like toys, extra clothing, drinks and snacks.
Speaking of snacks…the best ones are the ones convenient for families on the go. The kind that you can grab and go. The kind that is yummy and good for the family.
With 5 grams of protein and 7 grams of whole grain in every 30 gram serving, Honey Maid Go-Bites are a snack the family can love and you’ll feel good about giving them.
Honey Maid GoBites are crispy pockets with delicious fillings delivering protein and whole grains. Plus, they are available in chocolate and vanilla flavor to please even the pickiest snackers!
Do you have any more helpful tips for families on the go? I’d love to hear them.
