Ready for another amazing adventure with the cutest little blue creatures around? The Smurfs 2 brings all your favorite characters back together again for another epic adventure.
Did you know that Smurfette was actually created by Gargamel to help him catch all the Smurf? She was the original Naughtie, but Papa Smurf performed a magic spell to turn her into a real, blue Smurf.
Now, Gargamel has used the little bit of Smurf essence, which he had left over from his last encounter with the Smurfs, to make two new Naughties. He hopes that these Naughties – named Vexy and Hackus – will help him catch Smurfette so he can learn the secret spell that will allow him to make as many real Smurfs as he wants. All so he can collect unlimited Smurf essence.
The Naughties succeed in capturing Smurfette for Gargamel and they bring her back to Paris! Of course, the Smurfs don’t take this sitting down and quickly Papa Smurf organizes a rescue party to go get her back.
Joined by Clumsy, Grouchy and Vanity, Papa travels back to New York City to ask their human friends Patrick and Grace Winslow to help them find Smurfette. The rescue party is completed with the addition of Patrick’s step-father Victor and son Blue… all of whom quickly travel to Paris and find themselves in in the middle of Gargamel’s plot to win over Smurfette and take over the world.
This movie is full of adventure, silly antics, and lots of “bad” behavior courtesy of the Naughties. But there is also a much bigger lesson woven through the movie that can be learned — and that is the unyielding power of love and family.
The Smurfs 2 is a perfect movie to add to your collection! The DVD set comes with a bonus Ultra Violet digital download, plus bonus footage including delete scenes and some Smurfatastic activities.
