I love doughnuts. So, with the Holidays upon us I thought it would be fun to add a little eggnog to a treat I really enjoy…Glazed Doughnut Holes!!! Umm…they were so good!!!!! So I wanted to share this easy and delicious Eggnog Glazed Doughnut Holes Recipe.

Doughnut Holes Ingredients
- 3 1/3 cups Gold Medal all purpose Flour – 5 lb bag
- 1/4 teaspoon Arm & Hammer Baking Soda – 2 lb box
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup milk
Eggnog Glaze Ingredients
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup eggnog
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Doughnut Holes Directions
- Heat deep fryer to 350 degrees (or use 6 cups of vegetable oil in a deep frying pan)
- In a medium-sized mixing bowl, beat together the butter, vegetable oil, granulated sugar and brown sugar until smooth.
- Add the eggs, mix.
- Stir in the baking soda, baking powder, salt and vanilla.
- Stir in 1/3 of the flour.
- Add half of the milk and stir.
- Stir in 1/3 of the flour.
- Add remaining half of the milk and stir.
- Stir in remaining 1/3 of the flour.
- Make sure everything is thoroughly combined.
- Use a small spoon to carefully put the batter into the fryer.
- Fry for about 2 minutes or until thoroughly cooked and golden brown.
Eggnog Glaze Directions
- Whisk together
- When the doughnut holes have cooled down, dip each one in the glaze and place them on racks to allow the glaze to harden

I opted for the 5 lb bags of flour and 2 lb boxes of baking soda because I want to be prepared this holiday season.
*Both of those ingredients can be found in the baking aisle at Walmart.

My grandmother used to make these from the centers she cut from her donuts. They were loved more than the donuts by us as kids!

The eggnog is a unique touch. We have used orange juice in a similar fashion, but eggnog sounds much better.
Eggnog forme is one of those off the wall indulgences. I love the stuff! I but it when it comes out in a milkshake form even. These donut holes sound fantastic!
