Birthday celebrations in my family involve dinner and cake with our family members. So when we were thinking of what to do on my daughter’s birthday, I knew it would involve a family dinner (especially when my daughter was really looking forward to it)…but where we’d be having dinner was the question. Our kitchen still wasn’t done, so I couldn’t cook and our home wasn’t ready to host anyone, so we couldn’t order anything either.
So, I had to think of a place that could accommodate a big party.
As we were eating at Duffy’s Sports Grill for lunch after church the week before her birthday, I noticed that they had a “party room” that would not only fit our big family but also provide some privacy. Plus, we already knew we loved the food. It was decided and thankfully it was available, so we booked the room!
The day of her birthday, I arrived a bit earlier to decorate the room with hanging decorations, table cloths and the cake and cupcakes. The waitresses that were going to be helping us that evening also helped with the decorations…they were very helpful!
Even though I had told my family that we would all be going dutch, we did was order some party platters for everyone to enjoy of their Party Platter Menu. We dined on…
Fresh Made Guacamole
Flat Bread Pizzas
Korean Beef Tacos
Boneless Chicken Wings
Even though our family munched on all the party platter menu items, some of them still ordered off of the menu. Like my husband, who really wanted the lobster bisque soup. Of course we sang my baby girl Happy Birthday and she got to open up her gifts.
She really enjoyed being with her family and I loved not having to worry about cooking the food or cleaning up before and after the dinner.
