It’s bright and early and I am here at the Disney Parks and Resorts Panel here at the D23 Expo. I can not wait to hear about all the exciting things coming to Disney Parks. I am sure they will be having some big announcements for us and I will be posting them onto this post as I hear them (no pressure, LOL). So if you love Disney Parks as much as I do, you came to the right place.

Disney Parks and Resorts Announcements Live from the D23 Expo

  • New Parade coming to Disneyland called Magic Happens coming this Spring with music from Todrick Hall.
  • New Mickey and Minnie Runway attraction coming to Disney World and in Disneyland in 2022
  • Hong Kong’s castle will be receiving a transformation. It won’t just be about 1 princess but 13 Disney heroins and will be called The Castle of Magical Dreams
  • New show will premiere at the Disney Springs theater and they are partnering with Cirque du Soleil for the show based on the Animation. Animated characters will interact with the actual performers. Composer create new music that will integrate Disney themes and melodies into the show. The show will be about how the Disney characters are essential to the life of a little girl whose father was a Disney Animator. Official premiere will be on April 17, 2020.
  • Disney has partnered with Target so that we can have access to more Disney merchandising. They will be opening 25 Target Stores in October and 40 more October of next year. It will feature Instagramable moments.
  • Avengers Campus coming to Disney California Adventure and Disney Paris. Will feature Spider Man themed attraction (first at a Disney Park) for web slinging. Pym Test Kitchen. Meet Ant-Man and the Wasp and other favorite characters. You’ll be able to ride a Quinjet and fly to Wakanda.
  • More attractions and shade coming to Epcot. It will undergo biggest transformation any park has ever received. 3 New neighborhoods will be created. Spaceship Earth will remain grand icon but will focus on Storytelling and be brought to life in new ways. Follow story light and will come to life and energize each scene. New Walt Statue will also be added. The New Guardians of the Galaxy ride will be called Guard Cosmic Rewind and will allow us to experience a reverse launch. Space 220, a new restaurant. Journey of Water experience will be Moana themed. Remys’ attraction will be unveiled Summer of 2020. Harmonious, a new musical will debut in 2020. Epcot will also have a new theme song.

  • 50th Anniversary will be celebrated at all 4 parks!
  • Disney Genie will help you make the best out of your visit. Itinerary will be suggested based on what you like.  Will make recommendations. Will even help with dining reservations. Will be debuted in late 2020 at Walt Disney Resort.
  • Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser, a 2-night adventure at Walt Disney Resort. Check in at a terminal. Invited into launch pod. Every window has a view out to Space. Ever changing Vistas as you go from place to place. Alien staff. you never know who you will encounter. Immersive experience. Port day on Batu. Both kids and adults can face off against a training remote wielding a light saber. Invited to visit working portions of the ship, like the bridge. Discover hidden spaces.
  • Adding 3 new ships to the Disney Cruise Line and they have added a new location to port called Lighthouse Point in Eleuthera (In the Bahamas).
  • Names of their ships say a lot about them and their 5th Ship will be called, “Disney Wish” and will set sail for the first time on January 2022. It will feature a 3 story atrium and Rapunzel.
