If you’re headed to Universal Studios and are looking to save a few dollars on the hotel (without compromising quality and still being able to take shuttles to the parks and CityWalk), check out their newest resort, Cabana Bay Beach Resort.
As soon as you step foot inside the decor of the Cabana Bay Beach Resort, will make you feel like you have gone back to the 50’s but without missing out on the luxuries of today!
The 2 stationary cars you can take pictures with also give you that same feeling.
They even had pay phones with a rotary dial. Don’t worry, it was located right next to a computer with internet access.
The Rooms
The suite we stayed in offered a living room with a sofa bed, a mini kitchenette with a refrigerator and microwave and a partitioned area with double queen beds.
Resort Amenities
Spend your down time at 1 of 2 swimming pools, enjoying the water slide, hot tubs or the lazy river.
If you want, you can also rent poolside cabanas that are each equipped with a television, phone, mini refrigerator, fan, and lounge chairs.
Don’t want to be in the pool or laying out? There are also activities you can do on your own or as a family; enjoy use of the outdoor billiard tables, ping pong tables, chess and checker tables and bag toss games.
If you’re up for a game of bowling, you can check out Galaxy Bowl (their 10-lane bowling alley) or play in the Game Room. You can enjoy both for additional costs.
At the Cabana Bay Beach Resort, you won’t hear the words “I’m Bored”.
Food
The Bayliner Diner Food Court is conveniently located within the resort and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
The cool thing is that there is a variety of options (so everyone gets to enjoy what they’re in the mood for):
- Burger Station” Burgers, hot sandwiches and cold shakes.
- “Build Your Own” Salad Station: Make your own fresh salads
- Deli Station: Deli sandwiches and various bakery items.
- Dessert Station: Soft serve frozen yogurt cups with your choice of toppings, ICEE treats, bulk candy and more.
- International Station: Yummy dishes from around the world.
- Pizza Station: Home-style pizza and homemade pasta.
There’s also a “Grab and Go” area where you can pick up some snacks, cold sandwiches, pre-made salads and beverages.
You can choose to take your food back to your room or you can use the big seating area provided. While you are eating you can watch older commercials that play into the 50’s theme.
You can also order food and drinks from the Atomic Tonic poolside bar. My hubby and I enjoyed Virgin Pina Coladas while we watched our kiddos in the pool.
Oh, they even have a Starbucks!!!
Plus…
Another benefit of staying at the Cabana Bay Beach Resort is that you get Early Park Admission to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter™ one hour before the theme parks open.
My family and I really enjoyed our stay at the Cabana Bay Beach Resort!!
Note: I was provided with accommodations in order to facilitate my review.
