Life has been busy (as it always is) and I haven’t been able to stop and reflect on 2017 and I truly feel that doing so is important. Filled with joy and some disappointments, it is so easy to focus on the bad. As I try to take on 2018 with an attitude of being better and not bitter, I want look at all that came with 2017 and count it all joy. Yes, even the car accident I had at the beginning of the year, loved ones and/or friends that hurt me in some way, the opportunities I didn’t get, the money we didn’t make, etc. That is why I thought that this year I’d create a best of 2017 digital recap.
By doing this, I have been able to see God’s work in my life, even the things that didn’t go as planned, I didn’t want or expect. As I went through my photos trying to choose my favorite moments of each month, I was reminded of all of the blessings we received (even midst the pain). I learned a lot from this past year and that is really all we can ask for right? Life is not perfect, it is messy and beautiful but if you walk away a better person because of it then it is all good.
I am ready for 2018 because I know that God has got this!
