If you are a fan of romantic comedies with an emphasis on the comedy, then you are going to want to check out the movie About Time, which is now in theaters.
I had the opportunity to see About Time a few weeks ago when I attended a pre-screening with my friend Susie (Yay for “Moms Night Out”!!) and I really loved the movie. Honestly, the previews don’t do it justice. Not only did it have the romantic stuff I love in a film but it also made me laugh, a lot. I even heard the men in the audience laughing which means that it makes for a great date night movie as well.
I wasn’t sure what to expect from the movie considering About Time deals with the main character, Tim Lake, being able to travel back in time (apparently it happens to all the men in his family once they turn 21 years old). Thankfully, it was less about time travel and more about learning from his time travel experiences and realizing that everyone should appreciate each and every day we are given. Actually, when he does travel back in time you end up laughing at what results from it.
About Time was well written and I loved the chemistry between Tim (Domhnall Gleeson)and Mary (Rachel McAdams). Go check it out and let me know what you think.
Official Trailer:
Synopsis: The night after another unsatisfactory New Year party, Tim’s father tells his son that the men in his family have always had the ability to travel through time. Tim can’t change history, but he can change what happens and has happened in his own life-so he decides to make his world a better place…by getting a girlfriend. Sadly, that turns out not to be as easy as you might think.
Disclosure: I was invited to attend a pre-screening of the movie About Time in order to facilitate my review. ALL opinions are my own.
