Now that I had no excuse to not buy produce (details about my Produce Keepers from Good Cook below), I decided to do a recipe that used vegetables. So I decided to make a fresh salsa recipe because I love it way to much and have wanted to make it for years. So, I went to the store and got what I needed and gave it a shot. After a few tweeks, I got it just right and it was delicious!

Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 fresh tomato
- 1/4 green bell pepper
- 1/3 cup fresh cilantro
- 1/2 cup white onion
- 1 jalapeno chile
- 1/2 lime
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon oregano
Directions:
- Dice/Chop up the tomato, green bell pepper, cilantro and onions and combine in a bowl.
- Remove seeds from the jalapeno chiles and finely chop (you can leave some of the seeds for more of a kick)
- Cut lime in half and squeeze juice into the bowl
- Add salt & oregano
- Refrigerate until chilled
I sometimes hesitate to buy fresh produce because it goes bad so quickly, making me feel like it was a waste of money. Do you feel the same way?
Thankfully, I am now the proud owner of Produce Keepers from Good Cook. Not only are they super cute because they are shaped like the produce they are meant to preserve making them easily identifiable in the refrigerator but the Produce Keepers also allow you to store your unused produce keeping them fresher and crisper longer.
With the produce keepers, you can now store melons, grapefruit, peppers, bananas, asparagus, tomatoes & lemons. Although they are shaped like its intended produce you don’t have to use it for that particular product. As you can see from my pic, I used my melon produce keeper to store sliced apples, the lemon keeper for lime and being that we don’t eat asparagus, I’ll be using it for something else.
Disclosure: I was provided with a Produce Keepers from Good Cook in order to facilitate my review and make this delicious Fresh Salsa Recipe. ALL opinions are my own. They are also giving 4 lucky readers their own set…oh yeah!
