Now that the kiddos are back to school and I actually have time for myself, I think it’s time for me to focus on taking better care of myself (this may also have something to do with the fact that I put on some weight over the summer and am turning 35 in a few weeks).
So what does taking better care of myself involve? I should watch what I eat and eat less. I should exercise. I also need to do more than just eat better and excerise, I also need to take care of my skin. So how do we do that?
Here are 5 Ways To Care For Your Skin
Wash Your Face
Cleaning your face in the morning and the evening is important. I am really good about washing my face in the shower every day but I need to do a much better job of washing my face every morning AND evening. Especially on the days I wear make up.
Treat Blemishes
It bothers me that I am almost 35 years old and I’m still getting pimples and blemishes…unfortunately, it happens each and every month (thanks hormones!). Before I used to ignore it but now I treat it. Not only does it save me from having to deal with it for a longer period of time but it also reduces my chances of scarring.
Treat Wrinkle Lines
Although it pains me to admit this, I have wrinkle lines. I would cry about it but that would only make the wrinkle lines worse. Time to take action!
Moisturize
My face is especially dry, so I have been using a facial moisturizer for some time now but I always forget to moisturize my body. Your other body parts need love to!
Limit Sun Exposure
Yes, even if you aren’t in the sun all day you should be using a moisturizers that has some sort of SPF treatment in it.

What do you do to take care of your skin?
washing your face is so important. keeps breakouts at bay
Well, I’m way over 35 years old! I don’t take care like I really should! I do need to get something good to use for those bags under my eyes and the little lines that are appearing like overnight! I Do use a cream on my “dry” spots and I believe it’s a Luberderm product for dry skin. I have never used masks on my face, however, I’ve been thinking an awful lot about that as well! I’ve always used Ivory Soap in the shower and that seems to work ok for me. I just love the 5 ways to care for your skin and I’m really going to start trying to do more! Thanks for all the great information!!! Michele 🙂
Washing your face is very important. I need to do it more. Sometimes I go to bed without washing face when I’m tired.
Taking care of your face is really important. After all, it is what everyone sees when they talk to you! I have fine lines and I hate them but ROC seems to help. And clean and clear always helps with my blemish issues! I always use a toner or astringent too.
