After visiting Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge during my Monkey Kingdom Press trip last week, I was fascinated by its beauty. It’s like stepping into the heart of Africa Inspired by the traditional African kraal, I hope to one day be able to stay at the Lodge with my family.

There are a variety of restaurants to choose from. Some of which include: Boma – Flavors of Africa, Sanaa (Review to come) and for the wine lovers; Jiko Wine Tasting.

Guests of Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge & Villas can also enjoy the Wanyama Safari and Dinner for up-close animal encounters followed by a delectable, multi-course feast.

Amazing Pools

Unwind in an 11,000-square-foot pool with an exciting waterslide featuring a gently sloping, zero-depth entry point similar to that of a natural watering hole. There are also 2 other pools for you to enjoy:

  • The Uzima Pool includes a children’s wading pool and 2 whirlpool spas.
  • The Samawati Springs Pool, which also has a thrilling waterslide and 2 whirlpool spas.

Uwanja Camp

It’s an animal observation site that offers a themed water playground with squirting Venus flytraps, a rope bridge, water cannons and more.

African Art

They offer the largest collections of African art for you to enjoy.
