Grab some tissue because you’re going to need it! 2 Hearts will take you on a journey of love, miracles and heartbreak.
Based on a true story, 2 hearts explores 2 love stories unfolding but happening at two different times yet there is something that will ultimately link them together. The film does a nice job of transitioning between both love stories. They also do a great job of telling their stories in such a way that we become emotionally invested in their lives. The problem with that is that when tragedy strikes, we are affected all the more.
I spent most of the movie just waiting for something bad to happen. I felt like I was on an emotional roller coaster. Even though you get an idea oh what it going to happen, there is a little bit of a twist in the story. I loved that at the end of the film, they share a little more about their story.
Jacob Elordi, Chris, really shines in this movie. Unlike his character in The Kissing Booth, his claim to fame, he is really outgoing, playful and loving (all characteristics that make you love him). While Adan Canto, Jorge, is more reserved, there is just something about his character that draws you in. The magnitude in which they love is definitely something they have in common.
2 Hearts serves as a reminder that life doesn’t always go as planned, it isn’t a guarantee and that every moment is a gift. It also shows us the importance of being an organ donor. My mother-in-law is the recipient of 2 different transplants, so our family knows just how important they are.
If you are looking for a movie that gives you all the feels, grab some tissue and head to the theaters to see 2 Hearts!
2 Hearts hits theaters October 16th!
About 2 Hearts
For two couples the future unfolds in different decades and different places, but a hidden connection will bring them together in a way no one could have predicted. Based on an inspirational true story, 2 Hearts is a romantic journey that celebrates life, love and generosity of spirit, and challenges audiences to believe miracles are possible.
Charismatic young Australian actor Jacob Elordi (“Euphoria,” The Kissing Booth) plays Chris, a college freshman whose love for a spirited classmate played by Tiera Skovbye (“Riverdale,” “Once Upon a Time”) helps him find the purpose he has been searching for. In another place and time, Adan Canto (“Designated Survivor,” “Narcos”) plays Cuban exile Jorge, who falls for well-traveled flight attendant Leslie, played by Radha Mitchell (Man on Fire, The Shack).
Though they were never meant to meet, fate has something entirely unexpected in store for both couples that dramatically changes the course of their lives.
