I have partnered with Bring Change 2 Mind to create a conversation about mental illness. All opinions are my own.
Mental illness is something that affects not only the person suffering from it but also their families. As if dealing with mental illness isn’t tough enough, too many also suffer in silence…which I can only imagine makes everything worse. That is why Bring Change 2 Mind (BC2M), a nonprofit organization co-founded by Glenn Close, wants to start the conversation about mental health.
Why a conversation? Because by discussing mental illness, we can build the awareness, understanding, and empathy necessary to inspire action that can end any stigma and discrimination associated with it. If that happens, it will ultimately give those who are suffering the courage to seek the help they need.
Want to join the conversation? Have a story you can share that will carry on the conversation and offer some hope for others? If so, I encourage you to share your stories here. You can also read some of the stories shared by others here or watch their stories here.
You can also check out this video that showcases various stories, set to the song, “Ghost Story,” by Whitney Woerz
Mental health is important and something that affects all families. If you or someone you love is suffering from mental illness, please don’t suffer in silence. Let’s Bring Change to Mind and end the stigma surrounding mental illness.
