Remember the movie What Women Want featuring Mel Gibson and Helen Hunt? Well, you young whipper snappers may not because it was released in the year 2000. But if you are like me an do remember the film, then you pretty much understand the premise for the new movie, What Men Want. Except now it is a woman that can hear what men are thinking.
Featuring Taraji Henson, a sports agent, we get an inside glimpse of what is going on in the minds of men. That in itself leads to some funny scenes throughout the movie but I wish they would have been more creative with the concept of the film. After all, it already has been done. Don’t get me wrong, I did enjoy it. I had a few laughs but I guess I expected a little more from the movie, given its cast.
Is this movie appropriate for kids? Nope. I also do not believe it is meant for the younger audience given its mature content (sexual and language). I do think that the older teens may enjoy it though. If you are looking for a movie to enjoy with your significant other and friends, you can check out What Men Want when it hits theaters on February 8, 2019.
