I remember seeing the Harlem Globetrotter commercials as a kid and wanting to go see them in action. So it has been years (I’m not saying how many) that I have wanted to go to one of their games especially now that I am a mom because I know how much I wanted to see them when I was their age. All that to say that I may have been more excited than my kiddos were when we had the chance to see them at the AAA earlier this month. during The Harlem Globetrotters “You Write the Rules” Tour. From their reputation I knew that we were all in for a treat (and I was right)!
When they say family friendly, they aren’t lying. Once the show starts, the MC does a great job of getting everyone hyped up and they even did a dance contest with kids from the audience and played musical chairs with the Harlem Globetrotters Mascot (who likes to cheat but the kiddos love it and it gave us all a laugh).
From the moment the Harlem Globetrotters set foot onto the court they were very entertaining and extremely talented. You can tell that every moment they spend on the court is for our enjoyment and that they love what they do. They do a very good job of keeping us happy, laughing and engaged…especially when they find various ways to include the audience.
My family and I had such a fun time and I know that they are memories that we will cherish for a long time and that’s what life is all about, enjoying quality time with my family.
I look forward to them coming back into town!
