My mornings with the kiddos are different during summer vacation than they are during the school year.
Our summers involve us waking up when we want and leaving the house much later, if we even leave the house at all. All that is about to change in a couple of weeks when my mornings will be filled with dragging the kids out of bed, getting them their clothes, making them breakfast, preparing their lunches, making sure they’ve eaten, gotten dressed and brushed their teeth. Oh, and I will also have to get myself ready. Needless to say, my mornings will be hectic. So, I’ll be giving the following a try…
5 Ways To Save Time & Enjoy Breakfast
1. Make sure the kiddos get to bed at a decent hour so that they wake up without any problems and aren’t tired at school.
2. Lay out their clothes the night before.
3. Prep their lunches as much as possible the night before.
4. Stay focused on getting the kiddos and I ready and out the door on time. *I have a bad habit of getting on my computer and lose track of time.
5. Make sure I have a healthy on-the-go breakfast option that doesn’t take a lot of time to prepare, clean or eat. * With out a lot of extra time in the mornings, a sit-down breakfast is not something I typically have the luxury of enjoying. I usually have to wait until after the kiddos are at school to eat breakfast and if I grab something to go, it definitely isn’t healthy.
Honey Bunches of Oats Breakfast Biscuits comes in 3 different flavors (Honey Roasted, Strawberry and Chocolate Chip) and gives you a whole grain on-the-go breakfast option. Made with 100% whole grain, each individual package of four crunchy biscuits provides more than 55 percent of your day’s whole grain, 4 grams of fiber and 5 grams of protein.

Such great tips!! I love the laying out clothes idea!! I swear Im totally uts with picking our clothes in the am lol… its really bad!! Breakfast to go option is fabulous too!! I don’t even know how many days Ive just skipped it and been totally exhausted!!
Great tips with school coming back in session soon these will help us get back on track and not run as late as we used too.
Thanks for sharing, any tips at this point would be great.
these are great tips!
good tips though personally I can’t live without breakfast even if it means cooking things halfway and finishing it off in the morning or just getting up earlier. One thing you can do to not lose track of time on the computer is to set an alarm (or two) at a specific time you know you must get off the computer before you end up rushing and being late.
good idea!
I’m trying to do all of those also. Today was my boys first day and we are off to a good start so far.
Let me know how it goes 🙂
we’re practicing our school routine now [she’s doing great, but #5 is what i need!]. my lil one starts kindergarten this year!
Awe! Hope your little one has a fantastic year!
Great tips!
