Let me start by saying that I really enjoyed watching Solo: A Star Wars Story. So much so that I plan on watching it again when it hits theaters. Filled with non-stop action, humor and ties into previous Star Wars films that fans will get a kick out of. Whether you are a hard core Star Wars fan or not, it is a film that everyone will enjoy.
Here are 3 things you should know before watching the Solo: a Star Wars Story movie:
I don’t think it is necessary to have seen all the other Star Wars movies but I do think that it will give you a better appreciation of Han Solo’s character, the relationship between him and Chewbacca and for the various Easter eggs throughout the film.
While the movie is about Han Solo, there are so many characters to fall in love with. My favorite is actually L3-37. She was a total scene stealer.
There is a good amount of death and explosions but it balances out well within the mix of humor and action. If your kiddos have seen the other Star Wars films, I think they’ll be OK watching Solo: A Star Wars Story. I will be letting my 9 and 11 year old watch it.
