I had the chance to review the New Diamond Edition of The Lady and The Tramp that will be available on Tuesday, 2/7 (in both DVD & BluRay Edition) and I was happy to do so not only because I was able to watch a classic with my children but also because it had been years (I won’t say how many) since I had seen it. Obviously the movie is the same (although it does have bonus features) but the quality really is incredible with its high definition sound.

There are 2 scenes that I immediately remembered from when I watched it as a child, I am sure you’ll know what I am taking about if you have already seen it. The first one was the siamese cats (and that song I can now not get out of my head) and the second was when they share spaghetti and well you know what happens….LOL.

If you are not familiar with Lady & The Tramp, it is a classic love story unfolds in the best Disney tradition as a lovely young pedigreed cocker spaniel named Lady, who lives a pampered life, finds herself falling romantically for Tramp, an amorous street-smart pooch without prospects. Although they have fun together on several dates, including a sentimental spaghetti dinner by moonlight at Tony’s restaurant, their relationship is strained not only by Lady’s loyalty to her human family and their newborn baby, but by Tramp’s devil-may-care attitude that eventually gets Lady in trouble and tossed into the dog pound. However, good-hearted Tramp redeems himself by saving the baby from potential harm and thus wins Lady’s love and the affection of her human family.

I love how these re-releases allow you to enjoy and share these classics with our children….

If you don’t want to buy it at the store, you can also purchase it online. Amazon has the Lady and the Tramp (Diamond Edition Two-Disc Blu-ray/DVD Combo in Blu-ray Packaging) on sale for $22.99 (Normally $39.99), you can click here to purchase it.
