This post is sponsored by the Florida Prepaid College Board, through my role as a Believer Blogger. All thoughts are my own.
Now that my daughter is eight years old and in the third grade and my son has now started kindergarten, I am reminded that my babies are growing up way to fast. So fast, that before I know it, they’ll be off to college.
Although I am a firm believer in them going to college, how they will be able to pay for it concerns me. I’ve given some thought about enrolling them for a Florida Prepaid College plan but just haven’t had the extra income to do so. Have you been thinking about getting your kiddos on a Florida Prepaid College plan but have held up due to finances?
Well, here are 5 reasons to not put it off any longer…
It’s Open Enrollment Period
Yep. The time to enroll your kid(s) for a Florida Prepaid College plan has officially started. You have until 2/28/15 to get your child(ren) enrolled. Open enrollment period is the only time of year families can purchase a Florida Prepaid College Plan.
Lower Prices
Prices haven’t been this low since 2007!
Waived Application Fee
If you sign up before December 31, 2014, the $50 application fee is waived. In addition to the lower rates, you are also saving another $50!
New Plans
They have introduced a 1-Year Florida University Plan that only cost as little as $43 a month for a newborn.
Enroll now, Pay Later
Yes, you can enroll your kid(dos) now but you don’t have to make your first payment until April 2015. With the waived application fee, you are signing them up and not paying a thing until April.
If there was ever a time to get started with a Florida Prepaid College Plan, the time to do so is now! For more information about Florida Prepaid College Plans, click HERE.
