Margaritaville Beach Resort in Hollywood, Florida

The great thing about sunny South Florida is that it always feels like summer. So, no matter what time of the year, if you are planning a visit to Florida for vacation or if you just need a staycation (for us locals), you are good to go…but go where? This summer my family and I enjoyed a little getaway at the Margaritaville Beach Resort, situated on the legendary Hollywood Beach Boardwalk.

Inspired by the lyrics and lifestyle of singer and songwriter Jimmy Buffett, Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort is just what we needed to unwind and creating memories together.

From the moment you arrive, the “no worries” tropical feel instantly puts you in instant vacation mode.

Since we arrived earlier than the check in time, we left our luggage with the concierge and headed on over to one of the pools (the one with the waterslide of course) where we stayed until the evening. With 3 unique pools (1 of which is for adults only on the 11th floor), a waterslide, a FlowRider® Double, and a variety of lounging options including full-service cabanas there is something for everyone to enjoy.

The kiddos were never bored (which is a small miracle). Especially when the staff kept coming to the pool area with fun activities for the kids to participate in like volleyball, the limbo, hula hoops, etc.

I was surprised that I spent hours lounging by the pool, under an umbrella, because that is not something I usually do. After a little bit of time doing an outdoor activity, I am usually ready for some air conditioning but it was so nice, I just had to take advantage of our time there. We even ordered lunch and enjoyed it by the pool.

Because of its location, the beach was just a short walk away. The kiddos actually took part in a 3 legged race on the beach coordinated by 1 of the Margaritaville Beach Resort staff members.

Before dinner we headed on up to our room on the 16th floor to check it out and to shower before dinner. Offering a blend of coastal casual design and maximum comfort the room was gorgeous and welcoming! *You can see the entire room in the short video below

It was spacious and featured a mini fridge, a spacious walk-in rain shower and incredible views!

Before checking out we made it a point to go the pool again!

We also couldn’t leave without dining at Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville.

I only wish I had visited their Spa…maybe I should have put the kids in the Parakeets Kid’s Club and snuck away for a massage. Maybe next time!
