September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and I am proud to announce that I am partnering with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital as an official digital ambassador.

A few weeks ago, I had the honor and the pleasure of visiting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (along with some of my fellow digital ambassadors) where I not only got to meet childhood cancer survivors whose lives were saved from the care they received at St. Jude’s but we also got to learn more about how St. Jude is leading the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases. It was quite the experience and I can’t wait to share more about it with you throughout this month.

St. Jude Childhood Cancer Month Digital Ambassadors

St. Jude has helped push the overall survival rate for childhood cancer from less than 20% when they first opened their doors to 80% today. St. Jude won’t stop until no child dies from cancer.

Let’s end childhood cancer. Together.

How can you get involved? (I am so glad you asked)

You can take part in a St. Jude Walk/Run to End Childhood Cancer event in your local community. Even if you can’t physically be at the event, you can still create a group and raise money. Another option is joining my team (and either walking or running that day) or helping me reach my goal of raising money.

Any size donation matters.

Did you know?

  • $100 could provide platelet count tests for two patients
  • $250 could provide a week of meals for a patient family at the Kay Kafe, the hospital cafeteria
  • $500 could help cover the cost of a spinal tap
  • $1,000 could help cover about two-thirds of the cost of one day of chemotherapy

Because of supporters like you, families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food — because all a family should worry about is helping their child live. I’m proud to support St. Jude during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Let’s end childhood cancer. Together.
