When I found out we wouldn’t be interviewing Vin Diesel, all hope was not lost because I knew he’d be attending the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 World Premiere Event. As long as I saw him at one point, all would be right in my world. All dressed up, in a dress I happen to find the day before I headed to LA, I was ready to begin my “Operation see Vin Diesel Mission walk the purple carpet.
As you can imagine, there were fans and celebrities all over the place. I spotted Kurt Russell, David Hasselhoff, Sylvester Stallone, Zoe Saldana and a ton of other celebs as I made my way down the carpet towards the The Dolby Theatre (where the Oscars are held).

Right before going up those infamous stairs, I spotted Sylvester Stallone was right in front of me (within touching distance but no I didn’t dare). After some internal back and forth, I mustered up the courage to ask him for a photo but he either didn’t hear me or ignored me…so I have no photo with him. While getting a pic with him was a total fail, I can say that I spoke to Sylvester Stallone.
After making it all the way up the stairs (without gasping for air as I had imagined), my friend sent me a text saying that Vin Diesel was now on the purple carpet. There was no turning back for me so I yelled inside my mind and made my way towards the entrance. Before securing our phones (for security purposes), I was able to snap a pic with Nathan Fillion (Castle).
Once inside, I grabbed my bucket of popcorn and made my way to my seat which happened to be in the 2nd row, center. The lights went dim and there was loud applause as the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 cast made their was on to the stage. There he was, Vin Diesel with that gorgeous smile of his. I saw him look my way and smile so I’ll assume that was for me. When they were done, they headed to their seats and Vin was 3 rows behind me (so close, yet so far). Knowing that he was there watching the movie at the same time as me was pretty amazing. Also, I may or may not have kept looking back to see him enjoying the movie.
As for my thoughts on the film, you are already know that it is awesome! If you are wondering…**Should you go see it? Absolutely! **Is there action? comedy? love? and interesting story line? Yes to all of those! **Is it appropriate for kids? There is some adult content that may or may not be appropriate for your children (but you know your child and what they can handle) **Should you stay after the credits? Do you even have to ask? Of course you do! **Any other questions about the film? Leave me a comment and I will answer it for you (without any spoilers).
After the movie, I had to go to the restroom and I am so glad that I did because I got to snap pic with a few celebrity guests as they made their way out of the building.
