I had been anxiously waiting for the movie Captain America: Winter Soldier to come out in theaters (today 4/4) so that I could see it (given our love of super heroes in our home).
Thankfully, I didn’t have to wait that long because I was able to watch the film before our interviews with actors Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Anthony Mackie & Sebastian Stan while I was in LA last month.
From the moment the movie started, I was immersed in the film. It was actually so good that I feel that this post won’t do it justice.
While I enjoyed watching the first Captain America movie, I’ve got to say that this movie is 20x better than the first. I was so pumped about the movie that it was bothering me that I couldn’t talk about it with my hubby who hadn’t seen the movie until this past Tuesday at a pre-screening.
Both my hubby and father are comic book lovers, so they went together (which meant brownie points for me) and I couldn’t wait to see what they thought of the movie (since they are the “experts”)…they LOVED it!!!! Really, they did and I get it because it really is a great film. We all agree that there is a non stop action, a very good story line and overall very entertaining!
Each character in the film does a fantastic job in their roles: Chris Evans (Captain America) truly stands up for what he believes in no matter what and kicks butt along the way. Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow) shows tremendous skill during her fight scenes (I wouldn’t want to mess with her). Anthony Mackie (The Falcon) is patriotic to the core.
While the fight scenes are awesome, I love the relationships between the characters. Whether it’s between Nick Fury and Black Widow, Captain America and Black Widow or the relationship between Captain America & The Falcon (which is my favorite) – it is those relationships that shed a light to who the characters really are and what they stand for.
Captain America Winter Soldier is a must see!!! Especially if you are into Super Hero movies…

Disclosure: I went on this trip as part of a Disney press trip. All of my travel, lodging and meal expenses were covered by them. No other compensation was received. However, all opinions/thoughts are 100% my own
