Having laughed to the point of crying while watching Ghosbusters, I still wasn’t prepared for the amount of laughter involved during the Ghostbusters interview. Although considering its cast (Melissa McCarthy, Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon) I should have known better. It was so funny that as I listened to the interview to write this post, I laughed all over again.

I loved interviewing them but I enjoyed chatting with them after the interview even more so. They were all so down to earth!

Onto the interview…Here are some Fun Facts from the Ghostbuster cast:

  • Melissa spent several weeks thinking about putting extra weight in Leslie’s pack, incrementally but decided against it (even though she thinks its funny when Leslie gets mad).
  • The script was the road map, but how they got there was letting the Ladies do their thing, especially when it came to the interview scene with Chris Hemsworth.
  • Kate spent a lot of hours researching the scientific words she was saying…she loves science and even contributed a word to the script.
  • Bill Murray was such a fan of the 4 girls being cast together.
  • The ladies think that Chris Hemsworth can do everything bizarrely wel…acting, singing and even some dancing.
  • It means the world to Melissa McCarthy to be a part of a film with a lead female cast that will be a role model for girls seeing what they can do and for boys to have girl role models.
  • If Leslie could return as a ghost, she would be hummus because the cast loves hummus. As soon as they dip their carrot in it, she’d yell to scare them.
  • If Melissa could return as a ghost, she would take the form of a cat and live with Kate to experience the kind of pampering she’s never had.
  • When asked when there would be a new Ghostbusters, Ivan responded with “Soon…but the last time I said soon, it took 20 years”

Official Synopsis
