My hubby and I were invited to sail aboard the Norwegian Encore inaugural sailing. We had an AMAZING time and ALL opinions are my own, as always.
When Art and I boarded the Norwegian Encore for its inaugural sailing, we had no idea it would be one of the best trips we’d experience together (and we have been together for almost 21 years). With being as busy as we had been, I told him that all I really wanted to do was chill and maybe catch up on some movies and he agreed. Did that happen? Nope. Do we regret it? Absolutely not. We had the best time!
Fun Adventures Abound on the Norwegian Encore…
There is so much to do on board and we made sure we did as much of it as possible. Seriously, there is something for everyone. Yes, E.V.E.R.Y.O.N.E.
The Food Connoisseur
Your taste buds will thank you with all of the food options available. After all, there are 18 restaurants available and that doesn’t even include room service. They have complimentary dining options that include three main dining rooms, a buffet and a variety of on-the-go choices. But wait, there’s more…
They also offer specialty dining. Whether you want to dine at Cagney’s Steakhouse or enjoy French cuisine, you can satisfy your latest craving with 12 specialty dining options. While there is an additional fee for these restaurants,they are worth it. For a nice romantic dinner, I would suggest the steakhouse but a great family experience is Teppanyaki. My family and love dining there…it is definitely one of our faves.
The Gaming Enthusiast
Not only do you have a video arcade but you can also taking gaming to a whole other level at their Galaxy Pavilion. You’ll get immersive VR experiences and enjoy thrilling simulator rides.
Dance Lover
I love to dance…love it! My husband, on the other hand, not so much. Even our taste in music isn’t the same but that didn’t matter when we were in the Silent Disco. If you aren’t familiar with what that is (because I wasn’t), you wear LED headphones that are synced up with the music but the really cool thing is that depending on where you stand, there is specific music available to you. That night they were playing songs from the 70’s, 80’s, 90’s and today.
What I loved is that with the various music options, everyone was happy. If I didn’t like a particular song, I could head on over to another corner. For my husband, he had the option of people watching with our without music which allowed us to each enjoy the experience how we wanted to.
Adventure Seeker
Whether you take a spin on the largest race track at sea that suspended 13 feet over the side of the ship or play a round (or maybe ten rounds) of laser tag, the adventurer in you will be happy. Looking for water adventures? They have that too, their Aqua Park that features two multi-story water slides on board.
Musical Aficionado
Love musicals? Well then you are in for a treat because they have 3 for your to immerse yourself, Choir of Man, Happy Hour Prohibition – The Musical and Kinky Boots.
Shopping Fanatics
Get your shopping on with special pricing at one or all six of their tax & duty free stores. How can you not when you are saving so much money?
See? There is something for everyone.
Now, I am not saying that you can’t relax because you can do that as well. You can lounge by the pool, get a massage or watch movies in your room. I would have done all those things, had we had more time. But is it really enough time on the Norwegian Encore given all they have for us to enjoy. Probably not. What made our experience better? Visiting Norwegian’s private island, Great Stirrup Cay, for a day but more about that in another post because there is so much that you can enjoy while you are there.
