I have always found it interesting that a scent can trigger a specific memory or person. Good or bad, a simple sniff of that scent can bring it all flooding back to you. Wouldn’t you agree?
There are the simple ones we may all share, like the smell of pine reminding us of Christmas or Christmas Trees.
A special scent for me is the smell of cinnamon rolls. The scent of it baking in the oven reminds me of our family’s yearly Christmas Tree lighting festivities (Once we are done, we all sit in front of the lit tree with hot chocolate and cinnamon rolls admiring the tree). It also reminds me of Christmas morning at our house (I make Cinnamon rolls first thing in the morning so that we can eat them while the kids are opening up their gifts).
During the holidays we have a lot of family members and friends that will be visiting our home, so having our home smelling good is very important to us. Thankfully, I received a Febreze Holiday Scents Kit that came with a story book (about scents and the memories they trigger), a Febreze Noticeables and a Febreze Set & Refresh. I now have what I need to get my home smelling like the Holidays.
The Febreze Noticeables came with 2 scents (Apple Cider and Cranberry Frost) that compliment each other very nicely. All you have to do is put the scents in, plug it into your outlet and then set the strength of its gradual release. I set it to “low” and it immediately filled up most of my living room with a lovely scent.
I also received a Set & Refresh. This one doesn’t plug in to the wall, you simply insert a scent cartridge inside of it and the scent gets released over time. It’s very simple to use!
