While I was in California for the D23 Expo, my husband took a day off from work so that he could take the kiddos and his mom over to Everglades Alligator Farm (using our South Florida Adventure Passes)
Everglades Alligator Farm contains more than 2,000 alligators and it’s the home of the famous 14 ft. “Grandpa” alligator. It’s one of the few real working alligator farms, that doesn’t process alligators and collects alligator eggs that are later sold to other alligator farms around the state.
While you are there you can also enjoy a walking trail around the farm to see the alligators, crocodiles, caimans, and wildlife, a great display of local and exotic snakes…Alligator, snake and wildlife shows are performed hourly. *Stay after the shows for photo opportunities with a live baby alligator and snake.
Not only did they see the shows but they also got the chance to see the alligators being fed.
In addition to all of the animal fun, you and your family can also take an airboat tour of the surrounding river of grass. This was everyone’s favorite part! *They have ear protection available if you’d like to use it, considering how loud it can get.
Of course the kiddos (and my husband) got hungry so they stopped and got some snacks. They even tried Alligator Bites! Surprisingly, my son liked them but my daughter didn’t…usually it is the other way around.
My hubby thought it was definitely worth the drive over there (especially because we are in Fort Lauderdale). Everyone had a great time!
Everglades Alligator Farm, South Florida’s oldest alligator farm, is located at 40351 SW 192 Avenue; Homestead, Florida 33034. Be sure to check their website for their schedule and for a coupon you can use.

This looks like such a neat place to visit! My grandsons would love to see all of the alligators!
This sounds like an interesting site. I am a little Nervous about alligators, but would love the boat tour.
My grandsons would love this place. We have a place by us called reptile land. The boys love it. Of course they don’t have near that many alligators. Too bad we don’t live near one because they love things like this.
