Last Wednesday evening, 7 of my friends and I were invited to attend a Chick-fil-A Grilled Chicken Tasting Party at the location in Sunrise.
I am no stranger to the Sawgrass Square location because I am there a few times a month. What can I say? I love the food, the service and the fact that my kiddos can play while I work using their Free Wifi (if need be).
Shirley (the owner) and her team did a beautiful job decorating our dining area. As you can see we had a special guest crash the party…
But the cow was nice enough to stick around and take pics with us.
Thankfully we all came hungry because we were able to try out the various Chick-fil-A grilled chicken options now available: Grilled Nuggets, Grilled Market Salad, Grilled Chicken Sandwich, Grilled Chicken Club and the Grilled Chicken Cool Wrap.
The Grilled Nuggets were good. My daughter really liked them as well. At first my son was resistant to trying them (because we love the breaded ones) but once he tried them he ate all the ones we had given him. They are also available in 4-count or 6-count Kids Meal servings
Made with grilled and sliced chicken breast served on a fresh bed of chopped Romaine lettuce and baby greens, topped with shredded red cabbage and carrots, crumbled blue cheese and a mix of red and green apples, strawberries and blueberries.
The Grilled Market Salad is a healthy option all around. I prefer it without the bleu cheese.
While the Grilled Chicken Sandwich is good, I prefer the Grilled Chicken Club shown below.
I love that the Grilled Chicken Club has cheese and bacon!
It is made with sliced grilled chicken breast, nestled in a fresh mix of Green Leaf lettuce with shredded red cabbage and carrots and a blend of shredded Monterey Jack and Cheddar cheeses, tightly rolled in a flaxseed flour flat bread.
The Grilled Chicken Cool Wrap is a nice combination of a sandwich and a salad.
In addition to the tasty food, we were able to take a Backstage Tour of their facility.
While in the drive through area, we greeted guests (thankfully we didn’t scare them away)
I just had to get a shoe shot.
I want to say a special Thank You to the owner of that Chick-fil-A because they really went above and beyond. My guest and I were spoiled!
She even gave each of us a copy of S. Truett Cathy’s book: How Did You Do It, Truett?: A Recipe for Success. I can’t wait to read it.
Great Food, great friends, great restaurant = A GREAT Evening!
