This Halloween, I received a Ghostbusters: Answer The Call inspired Boo Basket and now I will be doing the same for someone I know. While I have never received or given anyone a Boo Basket before, I am excited to be able to do so this year. It is such a fun and nice way to show someone you care. Have you ever been Boo’d or Boo’d someone?
Not only is it sweet of you to do, it is also super easy to do! Its’ so easy it’s scary
Here’s how you can create your own Boo Basket
1. Create a Boo Bundle filled with sweet treats (like Mars candy) and other goodies. The Boo Basket I received and the one I will be using to Boo someone includes the Ghostbusters: Answer The Call DVD (now available for purchase).
***Don’t forget to include a “You’ve Been Boo’d” card, which can be printed here.
2. Secretly deliver your Boo Basket to a neighbor, family member or friend by leaving it on their porch, doorsteps or desk.
3. Encourage the recipient to Boo someone.
So will you be participating? Who will you be Boo’ing this year? Make sure you snap a pic and use the hashtag #BooItForward when you post the pic. You can also use that hashtag for some Boo Basket Inspiration.
*Wal-Mart stores will be hosting in-store events leading up to Halloween, encouraging shoppers to build a basket.

The franchise makes its long-awaited return with a hilarious take on the classic supernatural comedy, led by the freshest minds in comedy today, Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon, Leslie Jones and Chris Hemsworth. Together they team up to save Manhattan from a sudden invasion of spirits, spooks and slime that engulfs the city. Directed by Paul Feig and written by Katie Dippold & Paul Feig, GHOSTBUSTERS: ANSWER THE CALL is based on the 1984 Ivan Reitman film, written by Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis.
The three-disc EXTENDED EDITION 4K Ultra HD/Blu-ray 3D Ghostbusters: Answer The Call Combo Pack includes the 3D theatrical version of the film in addition to all of the extras found on the Blu-ray.
You can check out my thoughts on the movie here. You can also read my Ghostbusters Interview with Melissa McCarthy, Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon.
We were boo’d for the first time a couple of years ago. I thought it was so fun! I’d never heard of such a thing. The only disappointing thing about it was that the person who Boo’d us told me it was them! I like surprises and kind of would have preferred it to have been kept a secret. I didn’t have this on my radar yet (still working on costumes!) but am going to make a boo basket this year, for sure. Thanks for the reminder!
