I love eating Spanish food and so does my family…The fact that we also serve a pork in addition to the Turkey at Thanksgiving dinner is proof of that. With all that we have had going as of late, I really haven’t had the time to make a good Hispanic dish so, when I told my husband that I’d be making Carne con Papa (Meat and Potatoes) for dinner he replied with “Are you sure you still know how to make it?”…the nerve!

Despite his comment, I decided to let him still partake of the meal but first I had to get some shopping done. It had been a while so I was off to BJ’s Wholesale Club to get what I needed.

BJ'S Wholesale Club

As you can see from my shopping cart I was able to find most of what I needed: The Meat (beef for stew), Rice, Cuban bread, Tostones, Maduros, Various seasoning, Minced garlic, Cuban crackers, Cooking Wine, Potatoes, Chorizo and Flan.

While I was at BJ’s Wholesale Club I also noticed they offered some of the necessities for a good Hispanic meal: a rice cooker, a coffee maker and tostonera

That night we devoured the Carne Con Papa…guess I didn’t forget how to cook after all.

It’s Hispanic Heritage month…how do you celebrate it? Food is just one way but I also love listening and dancing to Spanish music (I guess that’s a whole other post)

Disclosure: I was provided with a gift card to BJ’s Wholesale Club in order to facilitate my review in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month. ALL opinions are my own…as always!
